ACID ARAB LIVE at L’OM on November 22, 2024
Aiming to create a space for Arab culture in the world of contemporary electronic music, the members of Acid Arab have patiently honed their style through their travels and numerous collaborations with artists from around the Mediterranean.
Born in the transcultural cauldron of Paris, this formidable Franco-Algerian collective is the result of a meeting between Pierre-Yves Casanova, Nicolas Borne, Hervé Carvalho, Guido Minisky and Kenzi Bourras. Thanks to their irresistible blend of powerful electronic music and Arab and Middle Eastern sounds, this Parisian group has set stages ablaze and won over French and international audiences alike.
From Algerian gasba to Anatolian trance, via synthetic dabkeh, bionic raï and many other styles, real or imagined, Acid Arab has incorporated an array of colors, breaking down the boundaries between genres. Their sumptuous new album allows them to push back the boundaries and extend their musical territories even further.
