The quintet formed by St\u00e9phane Bergeron (drums), LouisJean Cormier (guitars and vocals), Fran\u00e7ois Lafontaine (keyboards), Martin Lamontagne (bass) and Julien Sagot (percussion), marks its return with Parfaite \u00e0 l'\u00e9cran.\r\nA legacy that still resonates.\r\n\r\nFormed in 1998, Karkwa explored before finding their musical identity, which was confirmed in 2005 with the release of their second album, Les tremblements s'immobilisent. Karkwa won instant critical and public acclaim, forging a reputation as a live band.\r\n2008 saw the release of Le volume du vent, a more orchestral and irresistibly soaring opus. In 2011, Karkwa's seminal Les chemins de verre won the prestigious Polaris Prize for best album of the year in Canada, becoming the first - and so far only - all-French album to win the honor. In 2012, the band released a live album and took a break, each member devoting themselves to personal projects.\r\n\r\n\r\nFourteen years of influencing the Quebec musical landscape has left its mark: a multitude of awards, including a dozen F\u00e9lix (Quebec's equivalent of the trophies won at the Victoires de la musique) and several hundred concerts, including Canadian and North American tours, as well as numerous visits to Europe.
