HANIA RANI
One of the most striking figures of modern neo-classicism, she made a comeback this spring with the single “Hello.” Today Hania Rani releases her new album “Ghosts,” which she comes to introduce us with a series of European concerts, including a passage in our country. Meet an exceptional artist, on March 13, 2024 on the stage of OM, the brand new concert hall in Liege!
Rarely has the sound of a piano been so delicate and moving as under the talented fingers of Hania Rani. Combining classical music with an irresistible urge to break with all rules, she is gradually growing into a modern, minimalist and supernatural icon. Hailing from Gdańsk, young Hanna Ranizewska has always embraced broad horizons. Fueled by jazz and electro influences, for a time she was even one half of the respected Polish alternative pop duo Tęskno. However, it is on a first solo record that she breaks pots with her classical virtuosity: on “Esja” (2019) she discovers all facets of her favorite instrument. Her spherical and melancholic melodies take the listener on a beautiful journey full of intense emotions. ‘Home’ (2020) is a new step where her ultra-fine voice plays main role, carried by electro arrangements.
Today, Hania surprises us again with ‘Ghosts’. Thirteen songs that bring together all her influences, at the intersections between The Smile, James Blake and Pink Floyd. She was excellently surrounded by bassist Ziemowit Klimek, Patrick Watson, Duncan Bellamy (Portico Quartet) and Ólafur Arnalds, among others, whom she has known for a long time. Discover a cosmic and wondrous universe of infinite beauty, incomparable to any other concert experience!
