TRIGGERFINGER

A new dawn. A new sound. A new era.

When Triggerfinger wrapped up their 20th anniversary tour in 2019, Ruben, Mario and Monsieur Paul had planned a well-deserved two-year break. But fate had other ideas. First came the pandemic. Then, Monsieur Paul decided to put down his bass for good. Still, Ruben and Mario didn’t hesitate for a second: they would carry on — even without one of their strongest pillars. That says a lot about the kind of people they are: cut from rare wood — defiant, resilient, and above all, unbreakable.

Today, it’s the hunger that drives them. The hunger to play together again, to tap into that unmistakable magic that kicks in within the first two bars — the spark, the “click”, the guitars locking in. It’s the hunger for the stage — that place where Triggerfinger made their name, where they thrive. The energy of a crowd, the love that flows — it’s all brought them to this new chapter: a brand new single, an upcoming tour, and yes, a new album on the way.

For this fresh adventure, Ruben and Mario flew to Los Angeles to work with Mitchell Froom — a name that needs no introduction. He co-wrote with them, challenged them, pushed them to explore new directions with no fixed outcome in mind. And that’s exactly where the magic lies.

These guys have over 20 years of music under their belt. They hear music differently now, and they’ve become different musicians — more seasoned, more nuanced. They’ve grown. They’ve changed. They’ve evolved. Even if they still joke around like they’re nineteen. That same youthful fire still burns — the thrill of storming the youth center stage for the very first time, full of dreams and adrenaline.

But now, that adrenaline runs through the veins of two nineteen-year-olds… with two decades of experience. The excitement is still real, the nerves still kick in, and the unknown still grabs them by the throat. But they trust the process. They believe in the mysterious force of rock ‘n’ roll.
And most of all — they’re still hungry.
