Returning to his guitar hero best on One Man Band, Miles focuses on big hooks and even bigger anthems. Sharp, infectious, urgent and filled to the brim with sing-along moments, this is Miles at the top of his game. Miles returned to Liverpool to work on the album, finding himself reflecting on his journey.
Recorded at the brand-new Kempston Street Studios, Miles teamed up with long-time collaborator James Skelly of The Coral for production. After composing the album’s infectious title track and the hazy song “Ransom”, Miles teamed up with Tom Ogden of Blossoms and Keiran Shudall of Circa Waves, as well as Andy Burrow and Jamie Biles, his regular writing partner, to assemble the tracks.
One Man Band is a career-defining album, sonically brilliant, heartfelt and full of the music he was destined to make from the very start of an action-packed career.
